merc1997 Bo Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 catching is pretty darn good right now. the bass have moved out to summer homes and are grouped up. the big wobbler, which i guess we will officially call the "Mega Elite Blade" is just wrecking them. we had another 20 plus keepers again, and did not get to fish until nearly 10 and quit at 1:15. most bass were more in the 20 ft. range tonight. no lmg's tonight, but still good mix of brownies and k's. one really nice one and several 3's. the big wobbler does have a learning curve to fish it correctly, and to know when to set the hook. i am sure that at some point, the bite will go away on this earth shaking piece of machinery, but right now, it is a fish catching machine. the bass are still on the flatter terrain, and the presence of shad is still necessary. so, you will not find them just anywhere, but when you do, there is bunch of them. bo big c, Jwright79, Quillback and 9 others 12
Johnsfolly Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Congrats on some nice fish! Not a style of fishing that I get out and do. So no fear for those fish from a guy like me. Looking forward to more posts. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Looking forward to more posts. there are many other places and depths to use this fishing tool. i can see where burning it over vegetation or busting it into shallow bushes and stumps will get the rod knocked out of your hand. do you get out to little dixie and fish any? i loved to go out there while going to mizzou. bo

I usually fish Little Dixie several times per year. Bank fishing most of the time and mostly for crappie, redear, and bluegill in the spring and sometimes for catfish in the summer. merc1997 Bo and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

Stifles a guy's creativity! That's OK though - just like "the lil' guy", "the varmint", etc. we'll always know what's what. Still can't wait to try this thing. Still can't wait to try this thing. we caught 10 keeper brownies on it last night, and 3 of them were in the 3 lb. class. front kind of had them fuzzed up, and the wind made it hard to fish. bo
