aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 20-25 ft is where these came from, every color i tried worked, caught 4 short fish and lost a couple good ones too. Got a little wet but ended up being a good day. Lost $30 worth of bait, Walleye are getting pretty pricey per pound these days rangerman, JestersHK, Fish24/7 and 8 others 10 1

I put a heavier and longer cord(75’)on one of those lead/chain lure retrievers and have saved myself literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars over the last 5-10 years. I usually only lose cranks any more if I am running snap weights close(20’) to the lure in deep water which I don’t do often. I also catch more fish as I can work brush or trees without the anxiety of losing baits. Mike

Mike I have one with a 35' leash that has always been enough, yesterday they were just not coming out like normal.

Royal Blue Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 I went yesterday. Only trolled for a little while but caught a 22 inch walleye and a 15 inch crappie in maybe an hour or so on the flats by the island right near the state line. Had 2 short spots in that time too It was hard to stop dragging the deep worm. We had a handful of 15-16 inch largemouth and one 15 inch small mouth doing that. All of the trolling fish came on #9's. Are you guys using snap weights to get them deeper? I basically tried to stay on flats yesterday in 18-20 feet and I think it cost us some bites by not getting deeper. Fish24/7 1
