I was reading the Saturday morning fishing report in the local paper and they have a report for the James River arm and the James River. What would be considered the " boundary line" between the two. I recently retired to the lake and am looking forward to spending time trying to figure this old girl out. I live on point 10. (aunts creek). Thanks.

I would think Galena and above would be the river part but I don't know for sure.  Enjoy the area and good luck fishing !

I use the ramp at Walnut Spring as my personal dividing line between the two.

I don't know the area, but logic says find the normal pool elevation and look at a map where that elevation crosses the river, you would have to be close.

Lake regulations begin at the Y bridge in Galena.

I always thought that was an old RR bridge.  I guess not. But it' the same bridge I was thinking of. Thanks.

Welcome Rodmaker! The James is a interesting lady! She has to be a lady, as she is as unpredictable as any woman that I know. She can be sweet and giving or just plain tough as nails. I live pretty close and am willing to share what little knowledge that I have
