merc1997 Bo Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 decided we were not getting rain this evening so decided to see if we could catch a few. ended up with 17 keepers again. we did catch a few right at dark where there was wind, but they did not stay around long. best lure was once again the 3/4 GrassJig. we did get just a few bites inside of 30 ft., but not many. we did catch quite a few further back on coves and that is where we also found the bait. you literally have to go looking for them every trip. never did get a bite anywhere if there was not quite a bit of bait in the area. if we get much rain, it should change some things in some areas. bo liphunter, Patlock, snagged in outlet 3 and 6 others 9

Quillback Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Tuesday I had to fish hard for 4 little 13-14" bass on one of the Bella Vista lakes. No sympathy for Bo here either. 😃 Carl W 1
Guest Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 we fished to 1:30 and could have stayed a bit longer to get one more, but by the time you get back to the ramp, load the boat, and the drive back home, it is 3:00 and i had some things to get done today such as mow the yard. we did not catch one fish where we caught them on monday. this is why i stress that you just have to start out looking. anymore you have to see bait in the area or it is not going to produce. you will find a few places where there is lots of bait, but no fish, but not the other way around. we did hit a shallower area and caught several, but they were all shorts so i went back to deeper. our keeper ratio out deep has been nearly all keepers with very few shorts. bo
