Just info for you guys. Might save someone some time. I went to Cedar Ridge and the south ramp was closed to to low water conditions. I don"t know what else is closed. I went on to Ruark Bluff to launch. My fishing today isn't worth bringing up or I would give some kind of report.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

In the past when they close that ramp they let the public launch at the north ramp. Did you check with the park attendant?

They may not have state funds, but I would like to see them extend that ramp. It takes a some Heavy equipment. A slab is poured on dry land just above the end of the ramp and pushed down the existing slab

I thought of that. It open but there wasn't an attendant to be found. So I decided just go to Ruark.

It's been a while but the attendant is usually gone after Labor day and we never had a problem unloading at the other ramp out of camping season. That south ramp has been an issue during low water for at least the last 30 years. Don't see why they would spend the money now.

I would imagine it is. But someone had suggested that it would be ok to use the north ramp when the south one was closed. And it was open Monday.
