ollie Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Looks like another year and another olliefest is about to happen. For those of you that can't make it to the Jigfest party come on down to Capps for crappy fishing and hoping to catch a rainbow or brown for the day! Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend is the date. Time to start is 9:00 am. Meeting over at the lower bridge this time around. We would normally meet at the upper end, but for some reason that parking lot is roped off until later in the day. At least that is what I have noticed the 2 times I have been down there in the last month. Will start at 9 and end around noon or 12:30 this year. Come on out and beat Buzz or I for the undisputed title of Capps Creek! Daryk Campbell Sr, Johnsfolly and tjm 3 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
tjm Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Bad weekend for me, would like to be there and let you show me how it's done.
Terrierman Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 I'm jealous of you guys! Capps was a college thing for me lo, those many years ago. Beautiful little waterway.
Buzz Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 I hope the weathers nice. Should be fun. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Johnsfolly Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Good luck to everyone that fishes Ollifest! I still have a memory of raising and turning a 20+" trout in Capps several years ago during youth turkey weekend. Would love to fish with you guys but only have so much time to get back to Missouri😒. ollie Posted November 20, 2018 Author Posted November 20, 2018 Come one , come all! Going to be a tough one this year. Low water with high visibility and probably will be sunny out to boot!
