ollie Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Just curious if anyone had fished the waters. I know some of you have fished the San Juan, but how about any other streams or creeks? Just looking into it a year down the road or so. Gavin Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 I’d contact Doc Thompson. Super nice guy, and native of St. Louis. Has guided the 4 Corners area for 25+ years. Saw him in town last December and he is still at it.
ollie Posted January 11, 2019 Author Posted January 11, 2019 Cool. You always seem to hear about the waters of Colorado, Wyoming, and such, but not very much about the waters of NM. I'm sure they are crowded as well. Does the state have better laws about wading access? I hear that can be an issue out west. ness Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Fished in northern NM with Doc Thompson in 2007 and picked up a Rio Grande cutt. BilletHead 1 John
ness Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 NM small streams don't get the press, but there are some real beauties if you're into that type of fishing. I always say I'm gonna get back down there again, but haven't yet. Would like to add a Gila to the life list. John
