If they rebuilt to the same standards, it can carry the sane loads and it it was rated at 16T, it can likely carry 30T a few times- there is always a safety margin in such things. The signage is to eliminate liability when that one guy drives his 43' motor home across it, or the tour bus makes a detour like last year.

My pickups have always been licensed to carry 18,000 gwt.,

At the meeting they said they was going to build a better Bridge. I was very surprised when I seen it.

Yeah well,  several years ago they reported that they stocked 15,000 browns into the river.  I knew full well that there was No Way In Hell they had done that, and I suspect that's how they cover their losses (or shortcomings).

"We produced ALL THESE FISH....then threw them in the river".   Nobody can prove otherwise, and NOW we are back in the "superior production" column.

Oh at the meeting they was talking about doing away with the Pool. I'm thinking people go to a State Park they expect a Pool.

They also said Trout were the same size as years past, no matter what some say.

I really don't think they stock the river like they use to. I caught a 6 1/2 Pound Rainbow years ago in the river but that was the only fish I caught that day.

Back in the day....they dumped fish at the 64 access, NRO, Barclay, Maggards, and Prosperine.

Then they quit stocking at Maggards and Prosperine, and for 2-3 years they'd occasionally throw some in at Ho-Humm.

Then when Ho-Humm changed hands they stopped going down there and it was only 64 access, NRO, and Barclay.

Pretty sure they have quit stocking at NRO since Mr. Burns died ....so as far as I know it's only 64 access and Barclay now.

I wonder on Barclay. Last I seen was a bunch of Browns go in there.

I think they put fish in right at the Ramps. Lots of times and they just stay right at the Ramps.

Years ago knew a Guy that would catch Rainbow regular at Moon Valley during cold weather and I have seen them all the way down at Lead Mine.

Once upon a time I caught a pretty nice one (15-16") about 2 miles below MV during the middle of Summer.

For the far downstream fish it's hard to say whether they came from the hatchery or from a spawning population at Blue Spring.  Couple-three years ago there was a big brown caught down there.  No question where that one came from.

Why is that?? I’m thinking the bridge is just as strong as it was before it got damaged. They’re just trying to deter people from hauling big campers and such across it.

If prople obey the weight rule it should last quite a while.

At the meeting in the Fall I believe they said after the last inspection they determined the pilings are deteriorating enough that they should only be rated to carry 5 tons. That was from the park superintendent.  I hope they put a sign near the road on 64, NO RV’S.
