Smalliebigs Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 For anyone who knows or floats the Big Piney. Is there a large amount of outfitter traffic from Boiling Springs to Mason Bridge??? I thank you for your opinions on this.
Flysmallie Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 Been a few years but not usually. Looks like the last time I did that stretch was July 2011. But I don't recall us seeing anyone. Probably did but it for sure wasn't a large amount. Smalliebigs 1

Gavin Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 No...They put their floaters in upstream. Not sure If they are still in business, They were incredibly disorganized on our last visit 2 yrs ago. .

That place was a total $h!t show. Absolutely terrible experience. snagged in outlet 3 1 "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." Al Agnew Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Yeah, it's kinda surprising that there are no outfitters servicing that stretch.
Gavin Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Really not a fan of the boiling to mason stretch, or that outfitter if still in business. Disaster family trip there a couple years ago. We Had 3 Couples and 7 kids under 10 in or party and staying in the CG. The river came up 3-4’ overnight and we cancelled. Booked it day before and the ”Chief Moron” had the nerve to tell us we had to pay for the shuttle and the two boats we reserved if we floated or did not. We did not pay for that. Doubt that we would have got the boats wet before noon if we had reserved a 9am departure. likinmo and snagged in outlet 3 2
steve l Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 My wife & I floated with them in Mid-September - Boiling Springs down to Ross - and had no issues at all including their driving the car down to Ross on time to meet us on Sunday. Now we weren't high season and went in on a Thursday, but perhaps they are finding their legs a bit.
