Quillback Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Launched at dawn, well I think it was dawn, it was very foggy. Idled over to a nearby cove and caught 3 bass in rapid succession on the 3.3 Keitech, I thought I was going to really knock them dead, but those three fish turned out to be the biggest ones I would catch all morning, couple of keeper size smallies and a fat spot. Picked up another dozen or so during the remainder of the morning, mostly spots, a couple of smallmouth and all were in the 12-14" range and all on the keitech. Fish were on points, in anywhere from 5 to 15 FOW. Water is pretty clear in the dam basin area, somewhat stained up Indian Creek. Started off with 50 degree surface temp and when I left it had climbed to 54. This post has been promoted to an article rps, liphunter, Dan the fisherman and 6 others 9
Johnsfolly Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 @Quillback congrats buddy! Sounds like a better day than I had at work😁. Quillback 1
Bassmeister Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I took off work Friday but slept in too late. Got on the water around 11. Rocky Branch area. Caught a 19”smallmouth, 2 keeper spots, a small LMB and a good sized white bass. All on rock transitions in 12 ft or less. Wish I had a bit more wind but was a beautiful day!
