If one picks up the #10 lb walleye that I have been waiting for, I will jump on that thing and choke it out ! I am sure there will be blood, from both of us. Quillback 1

It's a good thing you didn't have to mess with that heron, they're extremely dangerous to handle, strong quick neck with a five inch dagger (bill) at the end. One of the few animals that wildlife rehabilitators don't want to deal with. All you could have done is cut the line and let it go with your lure. Wonder what the state record is for a Heron? To bad you lost it. Might have been in the record books. Maybe a wire leader next time... snagged in outlet 3 and Quillback 1 1 Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I've had to unhook a couple birds down in Florida my girls hooked. Me and the guide had a heck of time subduing them.
liphunter Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I bet. That's got to be different. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
