Seth Clarkson Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Fished from 6 to around 3, caught just under 10, only 2 keepers. Still not finding a great pattern, but did catch one around the silver beetles (kinda anyway, it was in the same cove but sectioned off somewhat by logs). Caught 3 or 4 off one point with a small speed shad and very small jighead, had a few other pulls of the tail and follows that didn't get hooked. Saw some very small what I am guessing were spots busting, but didn't hook one and other than that no topwater activity. Everything else I caught came off wood inside a cove flipping the rage bug. Tried a whopper plopper, sexy dawg, popper, jig and a tube for a bit with no luck. I should've ran a chatterbait and spinnerbait but didn't. There was some floaters here and there and a lot of debris back in the coves still. Water was still fairly clear for Bull in most places, especially after rains and flooding. Royal Blue Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Where are you putting in? I'd like to try it over there on Wednesday.
Fish24/7 Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 I remember a veteran BASS pro once said "If a guy just fished points all day he'd catch some bass" and you did catch some on a point. Flipping is so much fun! Haven't tried it in a while, maybe next time. Seth what size weight were you flipping please? What kind of banks were you flipping steeper or flat if you don't mind me asking ? Looks like it's up a foot since last Thursday /Friday 😕

Off mission road, it's a gravel put in. Parking isn't good now that the water is high but the level it's at you can turn up the road and back down to it. Someone put in off the road at kdock I saw, just limited parking.

Can't give you the best details on the banks especially with the water up, but I know on the main lake they were steep and didn't have a bite, where I did get them was in less than 10ft off of trees and logs, not floaters though, in the pockets. As far as the height, yeah it's still going up, gonna get worse with the water coming out of beaver lake and all that rain this weekend too.
mojorig Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 They (USACE) are predicting BS to crest at 688.0. As of now (6/24; 3 pm), it is 686.26 ft. Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov

I would be surprised if it stops there, but that would be nice! Would be even better if it stopped raining, and got back to normal levels prior to winter. Fish24/7 and mixermarkb 2

There's times I flip with 1oz . Especially in clear water. the fast drop sometimes triggers a reaction bite as it sinks and then when it hits bottom it makes more sound and disturbance . . That's just my thoughts. Gonna try to sneak out tomorrow 😏 thanks Seth mixermarkb 1
mojorig Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 BS is getting to the level that it takes a lot of water to raise the lake level vertically. As of right now, (6/25; 8am), BS is 686.47 which 24.8 ft into the flood pool and 8.5 ft. below top of flood pool. However, BS is at 70% storage. So 30% of BS flood storage occurs in the remaining 8.5 ft. snagged in outlet 3 and Seth Clarkson 1 1 Jeremy Risley District Fisheries Supervisor AGFC Mountain Home Office - 1-877-425-7577 Email: Jeremy.Risley@agfc.ar.gov
Paco Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Put in a Mission, need to turn around at end of blacktop a back down.. no parking room on road going down to lake. You can park at end of black top on edge of field.. On water at 6 off at 4, 1 keeper on black toad, 1 keeper on big Redfin, only the 2 hits fished Snapp. Ran down to Mincy, trolled Flicker on inline weight at 24-27 FOW, 2 nice crappie, 6-7 short bass 8-10 inchers, 1 15 inch Walter. Saw "NO" surface any where. Still a few "floaters" all the way down to Bee Creek. Seth Clarkson, Jeremy Rasnick and Fish24/7 3
