fishinwrench Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 I'll never forget a September evening back in 1983 (I remember the year because I had just bought my first NEW truck), on public land in Montgomery county. 3 of us on the edges of a small dried up dusty Milo field and a literal dove tornado ! One dude had 14 misses and still limited out. We would hit that field repeatedly every year afterwards, but it never happened again. Just one of those crazy days.
Gavin Posted August 27, 2019 Author Posted August 27, 2019 14 misses and a limit....is pretty good for most. Less than 2 boxes of shells. Have been spotting more doves in town. No teal, just local bread eating ducks...Bunch of juvie ducks and geese this year. The geese hatched a bunch, they are fledged and gone. Mallards did two broods mostly....
