Likely not a line class record due to some IFGA rule. IFGA is a bunch of unelected Dbags and it makes no difference...Bill's fish is the MO state record and its  couple ounces bigger that the Arkansas record. An incredibly small one up over Arkansas, but we will run with it. The AR Collins fish was an incredible beast too at 40lbs 4oz.

No explanation on why the rule is what it is, even though both tippet and main line were both World Line Class Records.  Tippet at 3.1 pounds and main line at 4 pounds.  Either would have qualified.  I had 7' of tippet and the max is 6' of tippet regardless of weight class. Neither he or his supervisor could explain the rule but it is a rule.

The person that we worked with is going to see if that can be changed but it won't help me.  That's fine, I'm as happy as a lark.

Congrats Bill.  It made all sorts of national news.  I saw it on USA Today and Fox News pages as well and a few more.
