What an amazing little bait. I think I threw my first ned rig in March of 2017. I have lost count of all the fish I have caught on it. Yesterday Gary and I caught everything you can imagine on it.  We caught dinks a plenty and several really nice bass on it. At the end of the day we found a real nice school of chunky small mouth and had a hay day with it......Big fun! We launched the Charger at straight up 12 noon and headed up river, just for grins, because I have fished the main lake the last couple trips. The air temp was mid 80's already and the water was 82.4*. There was a decent breeze up river and a nice green stain to the water so we started right off catching fish. Everytime the bite would slow we would notice the absence of wind. We would run back out to the wind and immediately start catching fish again. We fished several hours up river and had a ball. We put well over 40 fish in the boat and had a mixed bag of sizes and species of fish. As it got toward evening the wind died out and the bite with it. We decided to make the long run back up the main lake toward the mile long bridge in hopes of finding a little more ripple on the water. At about 6pm we started hitting some main lake windy points and again it paid off. As the sun got lower the wind died,  but with the light level change, it didn't matter. About 45 minutes before sundown a school of big smallies came out to play and we just happen to be there to get in on it. We had doubles on 4 times.....needless to say, we had a ball.

Nice job Steve and Gary.

I have been having the best success since she came down to more normal level recently finding schooling fish well off secondary points heading into major creeks. Big and Little arm. About 90% of my fish are suspended and I snag them with a shakey head adorned with a 4" Robo worm. I am a NED fanboy normally but right now swimming the shakey through these schools is my confidence go to bait with jerk bait a distant second.

Again nice catching!!!!

We had similar results a week and a half ago fishing bluffs with channel swings. I was fishing a roboworm alive shad in a dropshot and my buddy started slaying them on a zman trd craw. I switched to the trd tube and we must have caught 40-50 a piece on those.  No giants but it was fun catching mostly smallies and Kentuckys.

What depth range were you catching those fish on the ned rig on?
