Game Wardens

Heard the game wardens have been working overtime at Bennett.  Seen them checking quite a few people the last time I was down a couple weeks ago. 

 

Womder if the river being high so much this year has them working the park more.

Shouldn't be any need for overtime, the stream isn't that crowded.

Heard it from  a person that saw it on FB and seen it for myself too when I was down there the last couple times.  Labor Day weekend was packed.

I'm pretty sure they (MDC Agents) ain't allowed to work over time, the pay stops when the clock runs out and OT for them means own time. 40hrs/wk, so I was recently told. 

I don't know about the DNR  cops, if that's  who you mean.

Actually, “over time” was just used as a figure of speech.  Comparatively, this is the most I’ve seen or heard of them in a long time.  So that’s why I used the term.

They have hidden surveillance cameras down there now, but as far as I know they are only monitoring the parking areas.  I wonder who sits and stares at those monitors and runs license plates?

I know a couple years ago they busted a guy with a warrant for non-payment of child support.

Good.  I don't want to pay for his nonconformation butt for ten seconds.

I suppose that having just  one agent in an area as large as small state and limiting him/her to 40 hrs/5 day weeks that it indicates the commission is really  interested in enforcement at night or on week ends. At least one of those five days is likely spent in court, so, poachers only need to worry four days a week?

Poachers never worry.  If they were worried then they wouldn't poach.

Well he sure ain't gonna pay his child support while he's in jail....So now you get to pay for his kids and his ex wife, PLUS pay for his room, meals, legal defense, and medical care.   At least when he was free and fishing he was feeding himself and stimulating the economy somewhat.  🤔
