Norfork finally went to minimum flow this morning so I made a trip to Ackerman access and had a good morning. Caught these 2 nice browns along with lots of good size rainbows and 1 decent cutthroat. I was using a Y2K/ruby midge combo. The bigger brown took the Y2K and the smaller one the midge. Air temp was 52 when I left the house so it's starting to feel like fall. Hopefully Bull Shoals will reduce flows soon. Interesting that the brown in the first pic was a female and she was dropping eggs when I removed the fly. Thought it was a little early for that.

Beauties!!  I saw the gauge this morning and wanted to drive down.  Have to wait till Thursday.  I know they close the dam area in November to protect the spawn but we have been going in October for over 35 years and I can show you dozens of pictures of browns in spawning colors in October.
