Yellow bass on flies or lures

Me too.  My brother and I used to get into them on the Salt river in the early Spring.  My dad and Papaw always told us that they were "to boney and not fit to eat", but I doubt that is true. They probably just assumed that because of their smaller size. I've never cleaned and eaten a mess of them though.  

One thing that seems odd to me now that I think about it, was that we never found yellow bass and white bass together.   

One time while standing on a sandbar catching yellow bass my brother caught a "baby shark" (dogfish).  That freaked us out. 😅

I usually fish Spring Spawn but use Live Minnows but anything looking like a Minnow they will bite.
