drew03cmc Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 My Fila Skeletoes died on my last trip of 2019 and I'm looking to grab something with no holes in the sole for rocks to wedge in, something with ankle support and something durable. Give me some suggestions please. I can't find the Water Tennie that was raved about any longer and I was hoping to go that route. Andy
tjm Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 No frills, but fit me well and look almost like new after 2 or 3 years, https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/magellan-outdoors™-mens-canvas-wading-boots They live in the trunk and walk the bank as much as wade.
Members cmoore03 Posted January 8, 2020 Members Posted January 8, 2020 I don't think you would be happy with the $ 25 Academy wading boots as the heels are a pain. One gets what he pays for; just my opinion. CM
nomolites Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 I have a pair of Soft Science Terrafins and I love them; while they have holes in the sole I have not had rocks stick in them. They are super light and comfortable. Mike

I have a pair and have had no problems, but apparently they fall apart for a lot of people.
drew03cmc Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 I have a pair of Korkers, but they are heavy. Maybe I just need a good, thick pair of neoprene socks and go with them. They have great ankle support, which is my one requirement. Andy
Terrierman Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Academy used to have neoprene booties - basically neoprene socks with a flat rubber sole. I like them. Do pretty good keeping out rocks, especially so if you wear a regular pair of socks inside them. Do not know if they still have them or not.

I'm like Elaine with the Today sponge over here as I have 6 pairs of size 11, 4 in boxes still snagged in outlet 3 and drew03cmc 2
