I saw that for props but didn’t know if it applied to the jet series.  Thx!

Horsepower and displacement are all that really matters when it comes to jets. The gear case stuff doesn't pertain as I think that is only for the prop lowers. Is that right @fishinwrench?

Certainly makes sense to me.  There is a definite difference between the HO and not.

Sounds right.  Without looking up individual model #s  the HO vs. the regular (non HO) manufactured in the same year shows the same block, but different exhaust housing components.

Since we were talking"jets" I didn't look to see if the HO gearcase had different gears.....but I wouldn't think so, because when ordering/replacing gearcases there's never an HO option.

If you go to that link it looks like the props have different gears.  Also note the displacement for the 60 is the same as the 50 (53 CI).  The displacement for the 60 HO is (79 CI).  So the 60 HO is different.  Thanks guys!!

Looks like the 90 hp, 75hp, and the 60HO are the exact same spec wise.  All in the tuning I suppose?

Pete if restrictions aren’t a problem I’d go with the 90/65 bit the 60/40 HO option fits for 60/40 rivers.  I can tell you there is a noticeable difference from my old 60/40. Seth is right about the tourqe it jumps out of the water fast with the extra weight I carry.   I love it.   Starts up great on cold days to

I think Seth is right on the displacement specs.

Okay to clear things up here is the link to the motors with displacement #'s.  https://www.evinrude.com/en-US/e-tec/e-tec-full-specs.html#tab=7

Here is the link to the 60 HO on the 90 power head.  https://www.evinrude.com/content/dam/evinrude/Global/MY2020/Documents/outboard-specs/ETEC-60-HO-Outboard.pdf

I don't want to call out any dealers but they should look at this before they start trying to tell you what's up....And they are wrong!  Some even say they don't make the 60 HO.  Crazy and confusing at the same time.
