wily Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 probably better wait til midweek if thinking about coming over. water was 54degrees we put in at twin bridges and ran up the spring...Neosho was rolling. Was hard to get out of the current even on spring river side...so came back and went under the railroad trestle. We went a couple miles down river and tried a couple spots...but lots of trash in the water. all in all...it was a nice day for a boat ride was about all. We’ll probably go to the strip pits tomorrow...should have went today. 10c bridge on the way home... snagged in outlet 3 1

Members Ranger Dave Posted March 16, 2021 Members Posted March 16, 2021 With all the rain we have had and all the rain that is expected, I figure the muddy water will hinder the fishing for at least 10 to 14 days. I just hope we don't keep getting a significant rain every week since the ground is saturated and also any water is going to muddy the water.

Members wishingiwasfishing Posted March 21, 2021 Members Posted March 21, 2021 Tried to walk to gravel bar up from 10c today but concrete bridge on the path is under water. Haven’t been there since last year. Did it get washed out or is the water just that high right now? Is there another path up to the gravel bar?
ollie Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 That water is just too high right now to go past that old concrete bridge. Will have to wait for it to go down before you can wade up stream. wily Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 it should be on like donkey Kong down there this week...The river should be calmed down by now.
ollie Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 When I drove by Twin on Saturday it still looked pretty high. Neosho was still really muddy with lots of debris. Of course that is pretty normal as well. wily Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 The gauge looks good....Its came down a lot since Saturday. I won’t be able to go til Friday after work because of baseball...but I wouldn’t be scared to make the drive right now. This is prime time ollie 1
ollie Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Thanks for the heads up wily, I figured it would still be rolling along! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
