Terrierman Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 There can't be 8 ounces of meat on two turkey legs and two thighs! You guys are desperate for a little protein!

You guys are desperate for a little protein! We don’t eat that much and we sure don’t waste any food. Use the Lungs for Catfish Bait. I’ve caught some nice Blues on them. We get six meals out of a Turkey. When we worked Turkey Processing we would collect Fries and cook them up at home. oneshot

Rick I am a little ashamed of that remark. Waste not want not. It all adds up. In Montana you are required to save and use duck and even pheasant legs or it is considered wanton waste. You like and fillet bluegill don't you? More meat on one turkey thigh and a set of bluegill fillets. I have a buddy that SHAVES them out in order to save that little 1/2tsp of meat. You'll get a bone in your mouth about every 3rd fillet you eat.

Again there is a difference between a tiny amount of meat between the bones of a crappie and a turkey thigh. If the fish is large enough I take the meat off the ribs too. It is worth it if you want it. It is good and useable I am going to use it. fishinwrench 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Terrierman Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Besides me, who's ever enjoyed deviled lamb's kidneys on toast points? People will eat anything!

oneshot Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 Only thing we wouldn’t eat was a old Wild Ram. That meat was nasty. Dogs ate well. oneshot
