Naught so fast Mark.  Blaming not catching fish on the water too high??? In the past few years we have caught fish 1500-1900 cfs.  ....  it’s not easy but very do a ble!!!  Stay at home means stay at home!!!! Agree with Brian   No long drives. People need to stay in their home county!!!

Don't know about just staying in your home county, but I would say to not go anywhere that you will need to stop on the way or around the destination for anything.  Get your tank filled up near your home (and take all the precautions).  Take your own food and supplies.  Don't go farther than you can go without having to pee on the way (and pee in the woods or on the bank, not in a public restroom).  Mary and I have gone to our cabin on the Meramec, two counties over, a couple times, but we've followed those rules.  No contact with ANYBODY anywhere but your own county if you can help it at all.  It is sad, because I'd really like to go fishing with a couple of my friends or my brother, but I am not willing to be even as close as the other end of the canoe with anybody except Mary.

I am not currently renting my cottages out due to the virus.  Please consider when you visit, you may be bringing the virus unknowingly.  We have our 1st confirmed case.  People have been packing in places like McCormack Lake, creating their own little village of people on weekends and popping into the grocery store.  Please consider giving the area more time until the doctors (not politicians) give the all clear.  If you live down the road and can get here without stops for gas or services, then enjoy.  That has been my rule of thumb, get outside everyday, but I have been keeping myself in my home county for now.  No long drives.

Brian,

Will you be reopening your cottages in May if Parson  advises it is safe to get back to business as usual?

I will be opening the cottages when I see medical professionals saying it is time.  Hoping mid May or first of June.  There will probably be policy and procedure changes based on CDC advisories.  I will rely on medical advise though, not politicians.

I think that is wise. I and some friends were planing on going to the Eleven Point this year. I guess it will be later rather than sooner. Good luck and stay healthy.

I think you’re spot on with that. Don’t trust the politicians to tell us when it’s safe.

I really feel for all the businesses affected by this, including yours and @Phil Lilley‘s.

The lodges around here are just rotating units.  Waiting 4-5 days, doing a full clean, then waiting another 5 days before renting that unit.   Obviously turning down single night stays.

It's better than nothing.
