Deadstream Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Anybody had any luck repairing rubber hip boots? I have a good pair of Servus that have developed small cracks where I left them folded. I'm could probably tire patch them but I was wondering if anybody has had luck with a glue etc. This stay at home junk has me getting a lot of needed repairs, cleaning done tho1mas 1

Clean the area with some alcohol let dry and smear the stuff on. Flexible and stays stuck but ugly. I use it to make things last longer. Ugly matches me so it kind of blends in. fishinwrench Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Loc-Tite Stick & Seal. Tougher than silicone but just as flexible, and sets up quicker. BilletHead, Deadstream and MOPanfisher 1 2
MOPanfisher Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 I ha e used a few different types of make a gasket stuff, works but not as flexible as would like. I would have thought my now I would learn to roll them or hang them and not fold them, but I haven't.
Deadstream Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 Yep, I ALWAYS hang them , waders etc. Until I got lazy last fall and didn't. The way things look I will miss opening days of Michigan trout season so the small stream, beaver pond brookies are safe until I can travel back north. Turkeys here not so much.
