Plane tickets will never be cheaper.  The last time I saw them this cheap was commuting home for the holidays during the dot com bubble burst and during 2008 mortgage crash.  Hotels are about 40% of average.  A river to mostly to yourself in AK....Priceless.  I have done it, but it's a rare beautiful thing.  Staying out of town is the key.  There won't be any crossing the border into Canada trips eh. I have all ready had my walleye fix for the spring.  There are places wide open and better fishing than a guy can shake a stick at.  That pot is right around the corner from Fred's place yesterday Phil.  Been 30 years since the water warmed enough for the crab to be that thick.  Past the tunnels is 40 plus Dungies.

My Hotel by the airport STL....did 35K last month. Usual, would be 200-220k. Offta! The sales tax hit to local governents has gotta be huge.
