Since no one has replied, and it's happy hour at the gumboot house...it looks to me like a specialized trout boat for tail water fisheries.  I would imagine it would be fine on on some ozark streams, but there's a reason most river jets are aluminum.   I wouldn't want to run it far on a wide open, wind blown reservoir.  I have a really wide 16' flat bottom aluminum jon with a 25hp outboard, and I don't like running that thing over much of a chop on a big lake.  Not comfortable.

Disclaimer...comments may be influenced by pale ale and tequila, but they truthfully represent my experience.  Cheers.

Ok bud light speaking here.  😁  1752 aluminum jet now and a 20’ fiberglass river Jon years ago.  I have taken both on a lake.  It’s horrible with both any chop at all.  Not to mention any boat traffic.  Fiberglass river jons are perfect for tail waters but after that they aren’t great for anything else.

Grandson and I did a great float trip a few years back on the 11 point. in my Shawnee.  Point to point with camping in the middle.  (Don't ask me about how Mary Decker Shoal went) I've had mine on the James a few times too.  They haul a lot of gear very well.  They are not the best to put in, run up and fish and then run back.  But for a more traditional old school jon boat style float trip - well mighty fine.

Got to have taller sides and a semi v to cut waves on a lake with traffic and wind whipped waves.

I’ve wanted to do that with mine but just haven’t had the time and buddy to do it with.   I put in and run up.  Sometimes 15 or more miles.  If I find them I work them over with spot lock😁.  Or what I call “spot rock!”

Not a fan of fiberglass Jon boats. Since the introduction of UHMW I'm not even sure what the alleged benefit of a glass flat bottom boat could possibly be.

No payments is one 😎   Quieter is another one.  Not hot in the sun is another one.  Doesn't stick on rocks is another one.

Do they make a umhw Jon?   I only see it applied to aluminum hulls.
