Lifes2Short Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 A big shout out and thanks to Stan over at the Stockton Lake Army Corps of Engineers. On my way home yesterday from fishing I called the main office and asked if there was any way they could fix the big potholes at the North Mutton Creek ramp and today when I got off the lake they had filled those holes. Now that’s some responsive work and great customer service!!!! 👍👏 straw hat, Heretolearn, Quillback and 5 others 7 1

Yesterday morning I had some pretty good luck throwing a gitzit and couldn’t get bit on a spinner bait at all. This morning I hammered them for the first hour on spinner bait and couldn’t get bit on a gitzit . Go figure......
olfishead Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 The C.O.E. has always been supportive of MDC/public fishing and a partner with the building of fish attractor brush piles that many of us utilize. Hopefully they can get funding to re -surface the entire North Mutton Ramp [and Road) since the south ramp is controlled by the Marina. That $10. Fee at the south ramp along with the COVID effect has certainly increased the use of the north ramp. An over-flow parking area is needed, similar to the one at Ruark Bluff.
Lifes2Short Posted July 2, 2020 Author Posted July 2, 2020 They told me that there is resurfacing plans for this coming spring for the North ramp. olfishead 1
Sam Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 Because of what I read here we put in at the North ramp on Thursday, we've just never gone around there and we always used the South ramp before. I like it better than the South ramp, it's away from the campground and all that civilization. There were only two other rigs in the parking lot when we got there, so no problem parking. When we left at noon, though, the lot was pretty full. All the years we've used the South ramp I always wondered who the heck thought it was a good idea to put concrete curbs on the ramp between the launch lanes. Much of last year and this year up until a couple of weeks ago those were underwater and couldn't be seen - you had to hit one with a trailer tire to find out where they are! This time, on the way to the North ramp, I told my partner at least now we'll get away from those dang curbs. Nope, the North ramp has 'em too! Well, I guess like snakes they're not a problem when I can see them. LOL wtr dogs 1
