That is the whole idea.  They work well for that purpose.  You just have to water them more.

Yes very true in bottomless beds but not in tub beds. Never waste a drop except a dribble out of overflow if I don't shut off hose fast enough.

Thinking of using Cedar for my Boxes. 5 Gallon Buckets for my Tomatoes and Peppers.

Got one area I like but will only have 2 Foot between Boxes. Will this be enough?

I have used cinder blocks or landscape timbers.  Cheap and hold up well.

Can you walk between 2 foot of room?  Mine are that close with 16"x16" paver in between.

Cinder blocks give you a good 8" of depth for soil and let you plant stuff in the cells if you fill them with dirt.  Most of my cinder blocks have a strawberry plant in them to make some berries in the spring.  I let other stuff grow in them too.  The plants in the cells run out into the main bed and make new plants during the summer which I use for starter plants for new beds.

Two foot is a bit close. Might go with three foot across outside beds and four foot across on the middle.

Had bunch of Cucumbers on the cabinet and they was gone. Asked my wife about them? Oh I gave some to Mom and some to our Son.

I wasn’t happy and let her know it.

I used pallet wood for the one that I have built. I have an endless supply of that stuff but you have to make sure it hasn't been chemically treated I would assume. I only mess with the ones that have been heat treated only.

The one I built is pretty small and then the wife added way too many plants to it. I told her it was a bad idea but she's way smarter than me so we did it her way. They are all growing like crazy but haven't produced yet. We were really late on getting it going though. I need to build another and move some of these plants.

One place we had we had Raised Beds and Compost Bins.

Talked with the neighbor that bought it about year later he said they had to remove bunch of the soil because of them.

Ok right! LOL

Me and my wife don't need much garden.
