Members Rwh46 Posted August 7, 2020 Members Posted August 7, 2020 I'm planning on fishing Pomme next Wednesday & Thursday with my nephew who's here for a little late summer visit before school starts back up. Any recent info on crappie or bass baits and depths would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
oneshot 1 Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Long as they are running water best bet is below the Dam. Maybe by then they have quit running. oneshot
MOPanfisher Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Outflow is being cut back from 1000 cfs to 250 cfs today.
MrGiggles Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Went out today. Water was pretty clear, 78 degrees. Not much to report other than a whole lot of dinks. If the minimum for Crappie was 6" I could've had a limit. Boat traffic was pretty heavy too. Alaskageek 1 -Austin
Ranger520vx Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Crappie have seemed to have slowed down a little but have still been able to find them on brush piles in 15-20 fow . Using shad colored Bobby Garland baby shads on 1/24 oz jig heads. Just have to move around until you find a brush pile with keeper fish on it. Bass have been hit and miss for me fair one morning and slow the next only thing I have done any good on are soft plastics worked slow. Alaskageek 1

There's a darn good topwater bite going on at Pomme right now. I'd love to be able to share more details, but I'm sworn to secrecy. I bet you can figure it out though. 😉 Alaskageek 1
Ranger520vx Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I couldn’t figure it out Thursday morning tried it for awhile before switching to plastics. Have to go out this week and try a little harder to figure it out. Alaskageek 1

Members NGary Posted August 11, 2020 Members Posted August 11, 2020 I caught limits on two days last week fishing minnows around stumps and trees in 8-12 feet of water in the Nemo area. The bite was very light, and I usually only caught one or two around a stump or tree, them move on the the next one. Alaskageek 1
