Any suggestions on a pan fishing trip in mid/late August.  We'll be staying in Little Aunt's Creek and don't mind running a bit - 10-miles or so.  I'm an experienced fisherman but not a  big bass fisherman.  Looking for Bluegils and Crappie or anything else fun to catch - Walleye, catfish, ...

Look at Ozarkanglers.com, Table Rock forum.  Been some pretty impressive gills caught the last couple of weeks.  You will get a general idea of how deep, where to look, and baits.

Live night crawler on dropshot. 20-35 ft on gravel run-outs. Should catch bass walleye and gills. Will definitely need some sonar to zero in on the spot.

we were in the Kimberling area the beginning of Aug, and we had a big bluegill bonanza. the eastern point of Schooner creek, 25 ft,  whole or half nightcrawlers.

we caught giant bluegills, some really nice channel cats, spotted and smallmouth bass, and a few short walleye.

lots of bluegill in the 10 inch range, it was a blast.

good luck

It’s been a couple weeks but: 16-20 feet deep on main lake gravel points.  As mentioned:  drop shot a live crawler.  They are thick in spots once you find them (using sonar).  If it is anything like we saw a couple weeks ago you can catch them until you get bored or run out of bait.  Once the school gets fired up they are crazy- my nephew dropped an empty hook down and caught one.  Keep a net handy because there are Walleyes mixed in with them.
