Cane Bluff to Turners

Nice weekend out.  Saturday was very crowded on the river and the wind made fishing tough, but had a great time.

Caught a bunch of smallmouth up to 18", goggle eye, and a few stream-bred rainbows and stockers up to about 17".    Great trip!  The 11 point never disappoints.

You're correct about the wind. It was brutal! I remember seeing your group. Ours camped just below you at the bend across from Hurricane. Great times as always. It's a special place. Getting a little more crowded over the past few years though. It was pretty busy on Saturday.

Nice!  I've been twice this fall from Greer to Whiten and I agree it's been crowded.  

I've not considered Cane Bluff put in this time of year, how was the water level?

It was fine.  Some dragging in places, and one long dead stretch that was tough in the wind, but I love that upper section.  Different character of river.
