I get it.  I’ve fished both extensively but Norfork has more fish and bigger fish.  He said he’s only caught trout in one river.  Way better chance to catch fish at norfork than the NFOTW.

I'm not a big fan of tailwater fishing but if I had to choose one that I was familiar with, to spend a week on, it would definitely be Norfork.    The size and the typical release/fallout schedule appeal to me more than any of the others I have spent time on.    

I concocted a streamer there once that my buddy named the Baxter Blonde.  And we HAMMERED them on that fly during a shad kill, and then hammered them on a #12 pregnant scud pattern during the times that the shad weren't present.  It was a really great time.

You can fish both on the same trip, only a hour between the two. I like fishing the NFoW allot better than Arkansas, but it is allot easier to catch in Arkie. A day trip to the Eleven Point is my usual Plan B when the NFoW is fishing slow.

I would agree with that.  But it is a different experience

Oh I agree.  Totally different experiences.  I just like tail waters and Norfork in particular.  And MCClellans especially.

I’m also partial to a half mile stretch on the lower end below the handicapped access
