Members Masterbaiter399 Posted November 17, 2020 Members Posted November 17, 2020 Howdy all I am new to the forum here but wanted to let everyone know that we started this summer, a Tuesday night tournament out of Flamm City Access every Tuesday evening (river level permitting). Fishing is not the greatest, but we have an absolute blast and it's close to home for everyone in the STL area.We plan on doing a Saturday all day tournament in the spring with increased entry fees out of George Winter. Check out our Facebook page Lower Meramec Bass Club and let me know any questions you may have! Thanks. snagged in outlet 3, timinmo and Tobey 3
Al Agnew Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 I'm sure you guys realize that weigh-in type tournaments are illegal from March 1 to Memorial Day weekend, due to the closed season on stream bass. They have to be immediately released when caught. jfrith 1

semble Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 @Masterbaiter399 I'm not on bookface, what's the limit on the arnold and/or fenton gauges that you cancel your tuesday night tourney? I heard a couple guys in your group had some prop damage last year. snagged in outlet 3 1

We typically cancel for anything under 10 foot at the Arnold gauge semble 1

fishinwrench Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 I've only fished an Ozark river derby once, had 14 boats and all but 3 (including us) ran upstream. We ran downstream less than 4 miles and took 2nd place with just under 7lbs. The winner and big-fish pot taker had 9 and some change. It's way different from lake tournaments. I think I'd get bored/frustrated with it pretty quick.....but that's just me. That was back before we had Google Earth and cell phones....so there was no clue what was beyond the next bend, just had to go there and see.
