So you're telling me that nobody knew anything about any of those topics before the first college was built?

Didn’t you attend an institute to be a boat mechanic?

Yeah, the lunchroom is awesome, and the pond out back has some nice Florida bass in it. They are suckers for a lime-green buzzbait.

You haven't realized how much you appreciate life until you stand right next to a V6 outboard running 6200rpm on a Dyno.

Can someone give me an example of something that you can learn in college that you can't learn on your own?

Statistics,  Organic Chemistry, Quantitative chemical analysis, Qualitative chemical analysis, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Lemnology, I could go on but you get the point.  Maybe.

None of this is true.

They made me Chief couple years ago. Then I messed my Shoulder up and found I have Cancer.

I went to them. Are you sure on this? They said yes we have plenty young guys to do the grunt work.

My wife went to College in Medical Field and worked State Prison Hospital. I talked her into going into the Computer Field. Now she works for DHS, has been with them for 6 years. One good thing she travels I get to go with her unless she is deployed.

Can you elaborate on where one might go for organic chemistry and statistics training outside of a classroom/lab setting?

Well, they sell $400 books. Any engineer can learn on his own. As long as you have the drive. Plus you can skip the required Humanities class.

I get the gist of the point however, unless we are talking trains or trade lingo, Engineer is a degree....

Actually, being a train engineer requires a Federal License. And they don’t hand those out to self taught Google masters.

Agreed, but it doesn’t make you better, or Smarter than someone else. The only thing it does is get your foot in the door.
