So what are you thanking them for? 🤔 We try to buy most of our veggies from local farm markets, and the Amish. Always tastes just as good or better than anything I can grow in my outboard oil/gear lube tainted soil. You must have different Amish than the ones that I have been around. We have three or four sects of them around here. Each do things a bit different. I know for a fact early in the season they order tomatoes from other places then sell as their own. Have a friend whos wife works at a grocery store. the Amish come in and by canned peaches in mass quaintly. they then make jams and jellies to sell at various places. I know others who do grow produce and sell. Sometimes they don't have much to sell but it's good stuff. Fish24/7
Man, it's cold this morning! Thank God I don't have any plants outside yet 🤪 freezing 27°. They are ready for transplant though whenever Spring decides to stay. Looks like I'll have about 13-15 tomato plants and 4-5 pepper plants this year . Hopefully this is the last cold snap. I want to get these plants in the dirt asap otherwise won't have any maters till August if this cold crap keeps up! It takes 85- 90+ days to grow a Belgium pink.. oneshot
I have some stuff up in the garden. Not sure on it. I lived in amongst Old Order Mennonites they used Horse and Buggy. Amish drive Vehicles here. I asked them what they used for Bugs? Oh we use Sevin . Cherries bloomed so they are probably done for. Getting my Beds up high is looking better. oneshot
oneshot
Found some soil I got already has Worm Castings so I have pounds of Worm Castings I don’t really need. Can I just use the Worm Castings as side dressing in other areas for my plants? oneshot

Fish24/7
So yesterday evening I put out two tomato plants. Let them soak up some of the rain from last night. Didn't get too much, just enough to water it in. Still not 100% confident in the weather. Ky3 says 4"+ rain possible through next week. I better hold off on the rest of these plants. Don't want to put them in and then they drown😯 🤞 tho1mas
Fish24/7
Transplanted my peppers into 3 gal pots today. The two mater plants are fine. That's about it. Won't be long before I put in the rest of the maters. I have fifteen ready to go! Going to wait until later in May. I don't have enough plants to start over if it freezes so I'm very very cautious.. ness
Got everything in the ground last weekend. It’s always fun to finally get things planted then watch them perk up and take root. Tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, bok choi and some herbs were transplanted. Bought some more herbs and peppers to fill things in. The missus started some marigolds and we put some in the beds just for fun. Planted radish, carrot, bok Choi, lettuce, Swiss chard and spinach seeds. Picked out a spot in the yard and I’m gonna try to take a pic from there each Sunday nite at 6:00 to watch things progress. Here’s the first one: I’ll spare you all and not post every single one 😄 BilletHead and tho1mas 2 John
Fish24/7
Pulled a few onions for supper. Like to eat these with a bologna sandwich. No cooking tonight. Don't feel like it.
