I thought the small blocks all started with the '57 283 and the 350 was where it maxed out?

There was the 400 SBC, and the 383, although that was not a factory engine.

They're starting to fall out of favor now, with the LS craze. Hard to beat a $300 junkyard 5.3 that will make 500+hp with an Ebay turbo and pump gas.

Best Pickup I had was an old F150, 300 six, 4 on the floor, 4WD.

Had a F250 with tag axel would haul 2 cord of Pulpwood on it. 6,000 Tags. Just a little illegal.
