I have plenty but to post here I would have to catch them with the long rod. I haven't tied on new leader since the rabbit ate my fly line last year🙄. After I get 100 I'll teach Livie to poorly cast like her dad. Maybe catch a fish or two. BilletHead, nomolites and FishnDave 3

If you're interested next spring I'll let you know when they are in there, and it you've got a fly they'll eat that would be neat to see you hook one of those submarines in 2-3 feet of water. The stocked sterile grass carp are difficult to catch, especially on flies. It can be done, but its very tough. The ones that are breeding and growing up in the rivers and creeks...seem to be much more aggressive feeders by nature. I saw a pod of a dozen or so grass carp in the creek yesterday. My haphazard cast landed right in the middle of them. Instead of spooking, they all turned and charged the indicator and fly. They were splashing and falling all over each other trying to get to whatever it was that hit the water. Then several followed around the fighting hooked fish almost up to shore! Most of us have watched smallmouth bass behave like this...who would've thought grass carp could be so aggressive? After quickly landing a second one there, they pretty much scattered and disappeared from that spot. I flyfished for 3-4 hours and caught 13 grass carp! By far my best day for Grassies. Some were caught blind casting, some were sight-fished...sometimes unseen fish would strike before the visible fish would reach the fly. After a month of being unfishable due to high water, the creek is getting good again...and so of course its supposed to rain on Saturday. 🙄
