Launched at dawn, spent a few minutes looking for top water striper activity, didn't see any, so went on back in Indian to throw jigs for smallmouth.  There was a really good early bite that just died at about 8 AM.  Caught 9 with three being keeper sized.  Fish were around timber in 10-20 FOW.

Surface water temp was 82.

I fished in Indian creek on Sunday afternoon and it was pretty slow. A couple small ones but that’s it. I’ve been using the keitechs mostly and have caught most of bigger ones on a caffeine shad. Been fishing mostly closer to point 5 area. Have picked some walleye on crank baits too. I’m not seeing fish on many of the points I’m checking. I think I need a new strategy. @Quillbackwere you using a football jig, what color?

@Phil S  - Hey just got back from fishing there with a buddy of mine and today was just lousy.  We caught a few dinks, and one that may have gone 13".  Complete turn around from yesterday.

Anyway, I was using primarily a brown 1/2 oz jig with a Rage Craw trailer.
