Absolutely not,,,neither was all the remote control boat anglers that targeted the ginormous blue cats below Truman dam, most caught and released or selectively harvested. few caught and trafficed catfish for profit, selling fish in Kc If those fish are valuable then BUY THEM. I'm sure the BFers would sell them for a reasonable price while they are still fresh. That would be better than continuously finding piles of dead & rotting carp and gar. The bottom line IMO is that if it is possible on any given body of water, to go out in one night and kill 1000 of them with a goddam bow & arrow.....then they need to be thinned out anyway. I mean, don't ya think? 🤷♂️. By continuing to claim all these inflated/exaggerated kill rates.....you are effectively pissing on your own argument. BilletHead 1

Well I for one have not been anywhere that there is a lack of common carp. Dig you a can of river worms and go to any drainage on the upper end of the Osage river arm of Truman and wear yourself out. Be sire and wear camo so no one finds your honey hole. May be different in other places of the state. Shot some once in a backwater where a wheat field ready to harvest went under. The carp were so fat almost grotesque looking. So you all know I disposed of them properly. Out in a field where they would be disked under for fertilizer. For the argument that rough fish were as good as other fish we would be stocking them because everyone would be keeping them. Agenda pushing as bad as the political agenda. We should of built a fence to keep carp out of the country "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead
fishinwrench Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Yeah, people always like to talk about how delicious carp are......but when you ask them when was the last time they cleaned a mess of them, it always takes them awhile to remember. And odds are that their next carp trip isn't penciled in anywhere on their calendar either. 😅
MoCarp Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 I’m not the one claiming the numbers. This pic comes from a bfer group 1503 in one night, fish. Packed in because of spawning I am sure if allowed they could do the same with salmon didn’t they think we had plenty of salmon too? Concentrations of spawning fish make it Look like more populations MONKEYS? what monkeys?

The trees are full of leaves and have dropped their buds long ago, and the grass has already grown high and turned brown from summer heat. GTFOH ! Carp spawn about the same time the White bass do, typically dogwoods and redbuds still in bloom and other trees budding but not anywhere near full of leaves. Do you even know WTF you are talking about? No..... you don't.

That pic wasn’t taken in Missouri, Wisconsin I believe, the details of why they shot so many in one go they didn’t share….could they be fibbing about the particulars, it’s possible…do I think every bfer shoots that many? Most assuredly not… if you think I’m bad these guys are hard core animal rights MONKEYS? what monkeys?
