Just a little tricky getting a jet on the trailer 😁 Very true. I have gotten pretty good at it but there is no good way to load in water that big and certain ramps are really tough. I dont like the cotter ramp in anything over 15k as it really rips through there. Wildcat is better and the angle of white hole makes it really easy on big water. Most of the time I launch at Wildcat and its not too bad. Tough thing on that jet is if you aren't in gear and under power you have no steering, that's the thing lots of folks struggle with. Watched a guy a few weeks ago really struggle to get it on the trailer. I went right behind him and got mine on quickly. He asked what was the trick to it so I put mine back in the water and put him in the boat with me to watch me load it again so he could watch and see what speed I was using and what angle i was approaching. jdmidwest Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 I have been on it with my 8' pontoon when they kicked it up a unit or more. It is rated for class 3 water and has some rocker. I pulled over about halfway and had lunch. It was fun, but I was never worried. The pontoons have enough drag and the oars work well enough that I could control it. Ark Game and Fish let me float a load of fingerlings thru one day before that with a fisheries guy. They requested a high water event to float the stock pontoon that had a motor. Big net in front loaded with fingerling browns that time. Reverse the engine and they would dump some out the front. Neat little ride.
