Last year they could not breed them due to social distance in work place. Borrowed some fry from private source. Floods and other issues have been the excuses in the years before then. I gave up on Montauk and upper Current River last season and did not waste gas on it. 11 PT has been devoid of trout this summer also. They finally brought a load before Labor Day along with some big brood stock. Malfunction killed the big ones on the way to river I was told. I don't really know what their plan is for the future, or if they have one. Seems like Shepard of the Hills keeps doing things right. Bennett has been supplying dinks for at least 10 years. Started when the put that hideous pipe in below the main bridge. What a shame.

In the future we will refer to it as such. Harv and snagged in outlet 3 2

They know exactly what they are doing. MDC should cancel their "Urban trout" idiocy until they can remember how to produce fish again. They took a crap on the "ribbon streams" to support that BS it seems. laker67 and Harv 2

The High bank stretch was the only pure & natural piece of water on the whole stream (within the fly-fishing zones). And throwing in a hatchery outflow pipe did screw things up there. Before the pipe was installed those fish positioned in the riffle or in the run. Now 70% of them are just nosed up to the pipe like hogs on a bucket of corn. snagged in outlet 3 and laker67 2

Sometimes you just wanna catch something, and the park is still a good place to spar and keep your skills honed. I just avoid the "fish barrels" and leave them for the cigar chewing city-boy gapers.

I ain't trying to win any tournaments, or feed the whole Catholic church congregation twice a month. I'm just out to be one with nature, enjoy myself, relax and feed my inner soul. 🧘

But I was wrong 😂. I enjoy all kinds of fishing. I spent the day yesterday on the river and only saw one person. She was packing up her camping gear to leave. I caught a bunch of smallies and the biggest 18”s. And it’s within an hour of my house. I’d gladly spend a day whacking trout on the tailwaters but won’t waste my time at Bennett. fishinwrench, laker67 and netboy 2 1

Do you even carry fly gear in your boat? We got alot of milage at camp terrifying the kids with story's about the Windyville cannibals. It's a good thing that @fshndoug wasn't as heartless as I was, and didn't mind escorting them to the outhouse all night. 😂 laker67, snagged in outlet 3, BilletHead and 1 other 4
