Bill Babler Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 Air temp 38 degree water temp 49 degree. Most every shot you see, has multiple boats in it. Lots of people fishing in Tejas, besides the pros. dtrs5kprs 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 Watched a little, saw some caught on plastics and a couple of crank fish. Looks chilly for sure. I see McClelland is in it, wonder if he is throwing a Rock Crawler?
Bill Babler Posted January 27, 2022 Author Posted January 27, 2022 Talked to him Monday. Trap, JB, Jig and bladed jig he thought. Olliverson is also fishing. Mike did well on that circuit last year and hopes to get off to a big start. He said its his deal with a 5 fish limit. Hope so. Said it might be tough with the cold water and temps falling. Looks like some guys are off to a good start however. Carl W and dtrs5kprs 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 It does look to be tough, half the field showing zeroes, could be some technical issues effecting reporting I guess, but they sure aren't tearing them up.

I was listening to Jim Monegh on Youtube and he said the place has been hammered to death with other tournaments. Sound like the The Rock... vernon 1

Sound like the The Rock... Yeah, those Texas folks like their tourneys. I watched a bit of a tourney on Rayburn last year, it wasn't a Pro tourney but some kind of TX team trail deal. Something like 700 boats with 2 man teams. The launch had rigs lined up for a mile with a bunch of boats in the launch cove waiting to go. Once on the lake they'd show someone fishing and you could see boats all around them. snagged in outlet 3 1

There's another big pro deal there next month too. Randy Blaukat is fishing it I think. Quillback 1
fshndoug Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 Rayburn is huge, 17 miles across from Caney creek to back of Veach Basin snagged in outlet 3 1
Quillback Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 According to the interwebz, Rayburn is 114,000 acres vs Table Rock's 43,000 acres. snagged in outlet 3, dtrs5kprs, Carl W and 1 other 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 I never realized how many guys competed in these tournaments. I always just assumed it was 30-50 boats. Some have 250 boats right?? That's crazy!! Quillback 1
