Mitsubishi made the little D50 Dodge PU.  Datsun supplied the first S 10 Chevy engines or whatever the little truck was that became the S 10, Grandpa had one.

The Chevy Luv? That was an Isuzu/GM lovechild, but I don't know who made the motors.

Dodge and Mistubishi have been in bed together since the 80s. The Intrepid, Eclipse, Stealth and I think the Neon were all Mitsubishi. Eagle is yet another brand name for the same cars. 

Merc and Yamaha divorced in 2007.

GM and Toyota made novas in the California nummi plant.   Workers came from laid off Fremont autoworkers.  They were considered the worst workforce in the nation.  When nummi closed, a bunch of them came to GM wentzville assembly center.
