I didn't know fishing required math!

Lots of it.  Physics too!

Did you know that a 1/8 oz jig was heavier than a 1/16?  And that in order to get a 1/8 jig to sink at the same rate you have to go 8# up in line size?

Woah 😳 Mind blown.....Right?   💡

Does line diameter factor in to your equation?

It isn't "MY EQUATION" it is THE equation.   All line diameters are within .003 of each other......and that ain't enough to kill the magic.

Nice to see your brain clicking though. 👍

Oh and before you start throwing out the sinking properties of flourocarbon.......Spare yourself, that's all BS. 🙂

I assume that line type would not factor in since it seems to be understood that one would be using the same line just changing the size.  I've never come across this before.  Do you know who developed this formula?

Since you don't know where the formula came from can you at least provide us with a link to it so we can look at some of the other properties that may be mentioned.

You guys are way beyond my fishing level. I didn't know you could even throw anything but a 1/16 Ned rig on table rock! Mind blown for sure. 😊.  So back to my initial question any idea of the water temp down at cricket? Is it worth me going all the way down there? Like water temp in the mid 50s? Or should I just hang out on the main lake?
