Members riversrun Posted March 29, 2022 Members Posted March 29, 2022 Went there yak fishing first time last Sat. It was so windy and I lost my favorite bass pro rod along the east edge of the lake. It was a one piece 5'6 micro light IM 6 light action with their cheap quick draw spinning reel. Hope some of you regularly fish there and come across it. There will definitely be a reward if it is found. I had my cheap depth finder and lake is a shallow one. Tried the bridge pillars but nothing there.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Ther is a MO fishing Facebook page. Someone posted about gear found, but no area information was given. May try to post on there. Smalliebigs Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I had no idea you could fish that lake hahaha hmm
Gavin Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 It's been years since I thought of the Butler Lakes. Thirty years ago it was a dump site for construction debris, tires, and old appliances. Have they cleaned it up? Used to have a bunch of carp, buffalo & gar.
Haris122 Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Unfortunately a lot of people still seem to dump their fishing trash around there, when they go. In my experience they still have a lot of carp in there. That’s what I have the most luck with there. Can be fun. Occasionally still can find some gar, crappie, bass and such in there too, at least last few times I fished it regularly. Got to make it out there again soon. Johnsfolly 1
