Crappie around Kimberling area

Has anyone ever caught crappie in the Kimberling area ? Couple yrs ago I got into them in Schooner however I think that was a fluke day. Afraid rivers arms will be too muddy this weekend. 

Any feedback is much appreciated .

     Ive only fished it in the summer time, but for 30+ years my family and I have never caught one....until a year or two ago my brother caught one about 14 inches off of a boat dock.  We have never targeted them, but they are not common in that area of the lake.  I think if you caught a mess out of Kimberling one time than you are doing way better than most.

Yes, but few and far between. Never when I've tried to, always accidentally while bass fishing. Actually had a friend jump in the back because I caught a few, and he ended up catching brown fish on a crappie float rig like it was a float and fly.

Usually in brush or trees in the middle of bass spawn coves, 15-25'. Ned Rig, little swimbaits, smoke grubs, or a stickbait.

But it's one here, none there. Still not sure why people spend much effort trying to catch crappie on TR.

Like you said, I've only caught them on accident coming out of cedar trees on a jerkbait around the dam/deep clear water. Usually a good one when you do.

Talked to my uncle on the ride home from TR last weekend who had been on LOZ. Catching them by the hundreds. If you want crappie that's the place to be. They can be had in TR in the river arms but it's rarely fast and furious.

Truman, Stockton, LOZ are all better bets.

I catch a couple every summer on big spoons on accident, usually they are big if you do find them around there
