Smithvillesteve Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Not hearing much from you Hog followers this year!! Good game. Entertaining. I figured MU would eventually MU. Maybe a pass interference call, a controversial one at that, and Ark would kick a 50 yd field goal with no time left for the win. After Drink went for two up 5 and didnt get it. I'm hearing MU v KU in a minor bowl??
Quillback Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 It is hard to believe the Hawgs were at one time ranked #10. Defense was absent yesterday.
Jerry Rapp Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 missouri did all it could to come from ahead and lose. Play calling in the 2nd half was terrible. The only thing that saved them was Arkansas played worse.
Members jackman724 Posted November 26, 2022 Members Posted November 26, 2022 ZOU!!! A win is a win…lost enough close ones this year in spite of ourselves. Let’s enjoy this one for the next year or so!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
DADAKOTA Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Mizzou snatches defeat from the jaws of victory more times than not. Been that way for decades.
Bill Babler Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Play calling was not as bad as Cook over throwing and throwing behind receivers. He played a very good first half but the guy just for the sake of him cannot throw to a WR at game speed. It’s always a 50-50 ball they have to fight for or make a great catch. His vision is also terrible locking in on a single target with guys running open he never sees. Arkansas has some injuries and defections, but that poor defense hurt a very good offense this year. Wonder who to blame for that. I like Jefferson, he is a very accurate passer and a total steam roller. Not a top 1-2-3 round NFL guy, but a very good college player. Color guy was being nice comparing him somewhat to Josh Allen but that’s not even close. Allen is BIG and FAST and has a rocket arm. KJ is Big. NFL safeties and outside linebackers would tear him apart. In college he is facing 235 pound backers and 200 pound safeties. Those NFL boys are bigger and WAY MEANER. I know Hog fans are disappointed at 6-6 after a 9-3 season last year, but you have to remember Arkansas had the oldest team in D1 last year as coach had them all coming back from their Covid year. Lots of experience graduated or went to the NFL this Spring. They had KJ back and Bumper for his 15th. season but it was a huge rebuild. I like Sam. On really a sad note, The voice of Arkansas football Mr. Chuck Barrett this past week not only embarrassed himself, but the university and the state with totally inappropriate comments about Missouri as a state and our university. Drink used it as motivation, but really it was totally unprofessional for a journalist to make such disparaging comments about another SEC opponent. I don’t really believe in bulletin board material, but why would a professional journalist go to such extremes to antagonize an upcoming opponent. Hogville called him Chucky Ducky and think it’s time after 30 plus years for him to to be put to pasture. I think he owes the entire SEC an apology. Especially his football team. Great 2 point game that either team could have won. I’ve always been and always will be a Razorback fan as long as they’re not playing my Tigers. grizwilson 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Very good bowl in the new Las Vegas Raiders stadium. National TV and a night time game Most are thinking maybe the Hogs to face kU In Memphis. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 All things considered, AR playing KU in Memphis is a good bowl for them. MI beating OSU, LSU loses, I wonder if they'll move USC into the top 4? Time to move on to Hawgs hoops. They have a great team, inexperienced, but super athletic with some real talent. They can be a Final Four team.
Smithvillesteve Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 Bill I didnt hear what the Ark journalist said about MU. That being said athletes will use bulletin board material. I'm still not sold on Drinkwitz. He can recruit! He just comes off as kind of a goofball to me. And he comes in as this offensive guru from App St but his offense looks like a middle school to me. They did up winning 6 games with Auburn loss a joke and had Kentucky beat too. 8-4 would have been a highly successful season. I agree Quill. Ark basketball is a beast. How does this guy get those long and athletic guys? My Tigers are 7-0 but they havent played anybody. At least they are scoring some pts. Shooting percentages and especially 3 pt shooting percentages are way up. They may at least be watchable. That offense the last few years was unwatchable. Hope you boys had a great Thanksgiving.
Quillback Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Coach Muss can recruit, he also snagged ex-Mizzou player Trevon Brazile - talk about long and athletic! I'll be happy to see a good Mizzou hoops team too, lot more fun to watch the games when the competition is tough. Speaking of tough, SEC hoops this year has some good teams, good to see it as I was tried of the scene a few years ago when Kentucky was head and shoulders above the rest of the conference.
