A happy New Year to all. May you all be healthy happy and successful (especially when it comes to fishing).

This last year was great for the wife and I. We didn't get to go as often as we would have liked with the high water and then excessive heat but we managed to sore an average of 18 keeper crappie per trip. Our PB. I am concerned as we certainly caught very few small crappie. we hope that is not a sign of bad years to come.

Happy new Year Straw. Always glad to see you post.

The crappie fishing has been excellent, far better than the dink fest of 2019 and 2020.

As for walleye, been the best year as far as numbers go, but not good for average size. Only had a few this year that beat 20.

I'm getting ready to head back that way, wish me luck.

Pretty much the same story today, lots of whites, a few crappie and one dink walleye.

About every time I would find a pod of fish, I would think "I bet those are walleyes". Nope, whites. Every time. On the bottom, suspended, on top of brush, everywhere.
