Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 3, 2023 Root Admin Posted January 3, 2023 Today was a good learning experience. I’m not a crappie fisherman. Can’t wait to get back. I think I need some ice jigs. Bassin4fun, cheesemaster, dpitt and 6 others 9
Members slabseeker Posted January 3, 2023 Members Posted January 3, 2023 Good video, cool to see fishing on Table Rock, especially crappie. Hope you do more. I agree nothing like the thump of a crappie bite. Did look kind of eerie in that fog. Was so cool when you found the bag of Bobby Garland Baby Shad in the water. I believe that was a sign for sure. I had just told my wife that is the bait I would think would be good in TR's clearer water. I have been using them on our lake lately after using tri-color mini-jigs my whole life and having some success. Phil Lilley 1
Members retired chem teacher Posted January 3, 2023 Members Posted January 3, 2023 Great video--I use baby shad on a roadrunner jig in our farm ponds here and they are my goto bait for crappie. Have fished Flat Creek area for years and always catch fish. FYI- just past the bridge on the creek is Flat Creek Restaurant which is a great place to grab an adult beverage and something to eat. Fished the creek many times and never went past the bridge to find the restaurant. Great find --good food and good people. Phil Lilley, bfishn and Champ188 2 1
Members slabseeker Posted January 4, 2023 Members Posted January 4, 2023 I was pretty sure the video was in the area of Flat Creek Restaurant but wasn't sure exactly where. I had read about Flat Creek on this site a few times so we made it a point to go there our last few times visiting Branson. Your right good food and good people. Champ188 and Bassin4fun 2
