dblades Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Purchased my 100 MPH shortly after I retired in the early/mid 90's, still keeps me dry. Can't comment on the current editions.
nomolites Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Guidewear is comfortable up into the 70’s…would not wear any warmer unless there is a cool rain. Mine are lined, but uninsulated. Mike

eyedabassman Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 Thanks guys , and info on there Rainy River gear?
eyedabassman Posted January 30, 2023 Author Posted January 30, 2023 And did you buy one size bigger for comfort?
nomolites Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I did not. I can wear two layers(insulated tee, heavy sweatshirt) comfortably under them; with the jacket on top that is plenty warm for 32 degrees. If it is frigid I wear a waterproof parka with the bibs and two layers beneath. Mike
fishinwrench Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I put a wading belt around the waist of my jacket. Otherwise it gets in the way when I'm fishing. It hinders my access to the side pockets, but I can't stand loose floppy clothing of any type when I'm actively trying to do things. Nothing goes in those pockets anyway.
Dutch Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 You might have a look at Frogg Toggs for warm weather.

Before I bought it I drove to the Cabelas in K C and tried on the guide wear. It wasn’t comfortable so I didn’t buy it. Because of the price I bought the 100 mph jacket one month and the bibs the next. That's what I have too. Good gear.
Ranger520vx Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I have had the Cabelas Guidegear for probably 12 years and really like them. I think they would be a little to heavy for summer use. In the summer if it’s raining I just wear a light Frog Toggs jacket and swimming trunks. nomolites 1
